The men behind CyberChill Precision Refrigeration are two of the industry’s most experienced figures, Craig Pickford and Nick Williams. Pickford, former manager of Pickford Refrigeration and inventor of the patented ‘Cool Can’ display refrigerator, leads the team as managing director of CyberChill Precision Refrigeration. His partner, Williams, son of Mike Williams, the founder of Williams refrigeration and ex-managing director of Foster Refrigeration, joins him as the director of CyberChill Precision Refrigeration.
Pickford and Williams, having come from family businesses that specialised in refrigeration manufacturing, have grown up in the industry. Williams’ experience on both the production line and in the office of his father’s company gives him enormous insight into refrigeration and exports. This knowledge is complemented by Pickford’s tutelage, having qualified as a refrigeration engineer and managing the production of refrigerators before moving into the sales division – selling both locally and internationally. Their personal experience in the industry is what drives the R&D in CyberChill. This wealth of knowledge and familiarity pushes CyberChill to innovate and move the industry forward. Together with their team, they boast over 100 years of combined refrigerator manufacturing and innovative design experience.

CyberChill’s history begins in 1947 in Southern Rhodesia, with the formation of Pickford Manufacturing, entering the refrigeration market in the 1960s. After three generations in the industry, Craig Pickford expanded and began Pickford Refrigeration; a company designed to work on the servicing and maintenance of Pickford Manufacturing products.
In 2011 Pickford Manufacturing and Pickford Refrigeration merged to become CyberChill and CyberChill Precision Refrigeration was born through a partnership with Precision Refrigeration UK in 2014. The highly innovative refrigeration company specialises in commercial refrigeration solutions for the professional and foodservice industries. The independent manufacturer is an expert in extensive and adaptable products built to the highest quality at the best possible price.
Designed and engineered in England but built for Australian conditions, the units meet the needs of the most demanding customers worldwide. Their products can be found in various food service establishments throughout the hospitality and commercial industries. Although a young company, the four-generation strong refrigerator manufacturers have made waves in the industry. From their first ‘Cool Can’ display fridge – the world’s leading promotional round refrigerator – to the world’s first ‘Flip Fridge’ – a patented glass door merchandiser than can interchange between a top mount or bottom mount model introduced in 2015.
